    Logistics Cluster – Cargo facilitation and tracking

    Responsibilities: Coordination of data gathering and compilation of the joint Supply Tracking Process with a focus on the customer relation.

     Liaise with other UN agencies, INGOs, local NGOs and Government bodies on their logistics needs and on their Cargo Movement Request (CMR).

     Cargo facilitation at Santo Domingo’s port and airport: advise the actors on how to ship the goods (transport mode, issue of shipping documents / way bills, and coordination of collection of cargo).

     Dispatch planning of CMRs from Santo Domingo to Haiti by Air and road freight.

     Assist with gathering data and following up requests for data for the Logistic Commodity Transport Tracking: Ensure that requests are made accordingly to the requested procedures and rules, filter / cross-check data, resolve discrepant data prior to inputting to the system.

     Develop new forms, queries and reports and ensure that proper procedures and forms are made available to all actors.
  • UNICEF Guinea - Supply Specialist

    2010 - 2011 Main responsibilities: Design and manage supply logistics systems and operations at country office level and ensure emergency response and regular Programme scale-up implementation across the country Programme.

     Head of procurement and logistics section (team of 5 people) with a budget of USD 8.5 M per year.

     Responsible for Supply Planning through coordination with the Programme Section. Provide technical advice on procurement specifications and supply administration.

     Develop and implement logistics planning through coordination with Operations and Programme sections, provides technical advice and supervises logistics arrangements, facilitate efficient clearance, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment to end-users from ports of entry and warehouses.

     Develop plans for emergency supply assistance and procurement and distribution of Emergency contingency stock during Guinea 2010 elections.

     Responsible for warehouse and stock management (average stock value of USD 1.3 in UNICEF Conakry’s warehouse); implementation of UNITRACK stock management system in Jan 2011.

     Conduct market research; undertakes local procurement and undertake field visits to project sites;

     Identify training needs and develop supply and logistics training activities and maintain the PROMS supply monitoring system.

     Maintain contact with the Supply Division, Copenhagen, on supply policies. Interpret and advice the country office on policies and procedures.
