- Administration of Unix and Linux servers
Main Position Activities: Unix Administration
- Administer Unix/Linux servers to provide best service to the Unix users.
- Propose solutions and system architecture improvements as well as adapted tools and materials necessary to follow the changing demands.
- Assist in Unix/Linux server setup and configuration
- Identify and prioritize larger scope interventions necessary to handle problems that cannot be solved immediately. Size, plan and schedule all or part of identified interventions
- Implement validated intervention plans and/or manage them by coordinating with providers as necessary.
- Collaborate with other teams (internal OAU, Global Core, etc?) and providers for assistance with and/or validation of technical issues.
- Create and maintain reports and provide statistics on activities, interventions and projects.
Unix Support
- Help Development Support groups to set up development tools and environments on central managed Unix/Linux servers.
- Assist if needed in troubleshooting development problems when system stability is involved.
- Deliver 2nd/3rd level support for OAU managed Unix/Linux servers
