    Responsible for the management of the Finance and Administration activities of fusionOne Europe, the European subsidiary of an American company specialising in wireless data synchronisation. I reported to the European VP, and was a member of the senior management team making strategic and day-to-day decisions. Hired as part of the original European team, I put in place from scratch the finance and administration infrastructure (employment contracts, budgets, accounting structure, etc.). Following decision of US Board of Directors to close the European operations, I was responsible for shutting down the operations (layoffs, asset liquidations, office lease negotiations, etc.)

    Hired at the beginning of Netscape’s wild ride of growth and evolution, I was responsible for writing Netscape’s revenue recognition policy and ensuring the company’s compliance with US GAAP revenue recognition rules (sales contracts, pricing models, business models, etc.). An often interesting and challenging experience as Netscape pioneered certain web services that the accounting industry previously had not dealt with. Also managed relationship with Netscape’s OEMs on reporting; frequently met with OEMs and managed the auditing of OEMs. Initially based at Netscape’s headquarters in California, I then moved to Europe when Netscape’s European business had become substantial.
