Currently Mr. Diaz is Director International for SNCF Group and President of SNCF International a subsidiary of SNCF.
Previous to joining SNCF, Mr. Diaz was the President and CEO of SYSTRA Consulting, the US subsidiary of SYSTRA, which is the #1 engineering firm in Rail and Transit internationally (SYSTRA’s main shareholders are SNCF and RATP). In this role he was responsible for sales and profit growth for US operations and promoted the company’s unique engineering know-how in the latest technologies for High Speed Rail and Urban Transit.
Previous to being the President and CEO of SYSTRA Consulting, Mr. Diaz held leadership positions at Bombardier Transportation in the Services and Light Rail Divisions. Following the acquisition of Adtranz by Bombardier, he completed the post merger integration of the light rail divisions of Bombardier and Adtranz. This included: manufacturing footprint rationalization, product portfolio transformation and creation of a long term strategic plan for this business line. He then focused successfully on new market development, leading first product planning and sales teams for the Light Rail Division and then for the Services Division.
In the early part of his career Mr. Diaz worked in the Aerospace Industry, focusing on new technology implementation. For Thales Avionics, he led the development of a new generation of emergency inertial systems, which are now standard on most modern aircraft. He also conducted research at MIT, where he developed innovative solutions as part of the Smart Aircraft Engine initiative.
In addition to having experience in a wide range of industries and positions, Mr. Diaz has worked and lived in France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria and the United States. He speaks fluent French, German, Spanish and English.
