    Sandwich Year in the Chemical Development Unit of Novartis Pharma (CHAD) in the Continuous Manufacturing Unit.
    My job was to validate the benefits given by the use of continuous flow chemistry techniques. I had to set up laboratory experiments (including kinetic studies, calorimetry, solubility...) in order to gain understanding on the reactions studied to finally optimize them. The goal of these experiments was to develop a continuous flow process presenting more advantages than the batch procedure developed as a proof of concept (up to 100g scale) with the idea of further developing it for a pilot plant .
    This experience gave me a thorough knowledge (both practical and theoretical) about continuous flow reactors used from lab to pilot scale, but also about the chemistry used in the pharmaceutical industry. It also allowed me to work in a mixed environment working both with Chemists and Chemical Engineers. Use of English and German on the work place.

    2011 - 2011 3 months research project in the Pr. B. Breit Group.
    Subject : Rh catalysed Intramolecular Hydroacylation of ene-al using a newly designed PNN ligand. Synthesis of a large scope of substrates to try in hydroacylation (8 steps per substrate) and optimization of the Rh catalysed hydroacylation conditions. Practice of Classical Organic Synthesis and Transition Metal Catalysis techniques. Insight into the academic world. Experience in a German speaking country.

    Limeil-Brévannes 2010 - 2010 Programming of a raw matter analyser calibration software. This intership allowed me to extend my knowledge in programming on Matlab and to learn more about the cement industry and neutron analysis.

    Programmation d'un logiciel d'étalonnage d'un analyseur de cru cimentier en ligne. Cet analyseur à neutrons permet de connaitre les teneurs en oxydes du cru cimentier en temps réel dans le but d'effectuer en aval un mélange ayant toujours la même teneur par l'ajout de la quantité d'additifs nécessaires. Ce stage m’a permis de me familiariser avec l’outil de programmation Matlab et de développer mes connaissances sur l’industrie cimentière et l’analyse neutronique.
