Researcher in macromolecular crystallography. Research interests include the study of the 3D structure of enzymes from the giant proteases of the TET family; proteases from the tropical parasites of the Trypanosoma genus, and other enzymes from parasites (trypanosomes, entamoeba histolytica). I am especially interested in the biomed applications of the 3D structures of proteins e.g. for the development of anti-cancer drugs. Other research interests include methodological developments in the field of macromolecular crystallography (in particular, at the moment, novel phasing methods).
Specialties: chemistry, crystallography, macromolecular crystallography, humanity
In my current position, my in-depth knowledge of crystallography, protein structure and function, and my experience in supervising and training are being put to use as the support man for the Core Facility aka Technical Platform.
