Ensures safe quarry working conditions, adherence to safety standards and advisories and demonstrate safety leadership to all quarry personnel.
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in blasting, Hauling of boulders from pit, Plans location and drilling of blast holes to ensure maximum extraction of boulders and provide access roads for trucking boulders out of pit to feed the primary.
Develops and manages the mining plans, in conjunction with COLAS, to provide quality Boulders while optimizing the use of reserves for short and long term operating periods.
Design Blast , Pattern and Initiation point according to burden.
Analyze quarry operations and set plans for improvement in areas of general site and safe equipment operations, overburden removal, drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, crushing, storm water management, and boulders quality.
Trains workers in drilling blast holes and in loading and shooting explosive charges.
Daily supervision and scheduling of quarry personnel to meet production demands in a safe manner.
Completes required daily, weekly and monthly inspections.
Supervise blasting operations to meet safety, environment, quality and production demands.
