During my Masters, I worked as an intern for the local television start-up, TV Mayenne. As social media manager, I was in charge of the development and implementation of the social marketing strategy. I created new marketing tools for the company from scratch, used Facebook and Twitter extensively to create a two-way dialogue with our target audience and to find new prospective clients. This enabled us to generate a 400% increase in viewers as well as a substantial increase in sales of our services.
Using this technique, I opened up hitherto unreached market and helped create a new partnership with Europe’s largest virtual reality conference, Laval Virtual. For this, we were hired to create a video that would be used to promote the event.
Also, I have been heavily involved with the constant updating of the site by producing video content as well as writing articles on various local news subjects. I created animated GIF adverts for clients, from conceptualisation and creation to their insertion and monitoring on the website.
As the assistant manager of the company, I was in charge of the sales team; monitoring their progress and sales reports. All administration for the company was done by myself or the CEO. My other day-to-day tasks included cold-calling potential customers, invoicing and accountancy, and helping build up our customer relations.
