En résumé

My name is Kim Bousquet Lafond, and I work as a reservoir engineer for Maersk Oil in Denmark.

After spending around 2 years working in different offices in London, Aberdeen, Copenhagen and Houston as part of a training program, I decided to settle down in Copenhagen. I work in a reservoir management team and recently took over a project as team on a near field development.

    2008 - maintenant Milestones:
I joined Maersk Oil in January 2008 as a Reservoir Engineer. I followed a rotation plan to get experienced in different aspects of reservoir engineering.

I started off in Aberdeen, Scotland in the Drilling department during 6 months. I got exposed to well planning, implementation, and went offshore to supervise drilling operations. I was lucky enough to follow both exploration/appraisal wells and production wells. I was also introduced to HPHT exploration.

I then joined the Production department, bringing on stream the wells I helped designing. For that I spent 6 months rotating offshore on an FPSO in the North Sea, and was assisting the Production Supervisor. I also worked on the implementation of an on stream well optimisation support.

Moving on, I delocated to Copenhagen, Denmark in the head office for a period of 9 months. I joined an onshore Operation team working on the Halfdan field (100,000 bbls/day). I applied my petroleum engineering background to a water driven tight carbonate (0.1mD) reservoir of the North Sea. I did extended well test (pressure transient) analysis studies on fractured water wells, oil and gas production wells using Saphir. My research on EOR methods led me to co write an SPE paper which will be issued soon.

After this I joined the Exploration and New Business department in Houston, Texas for 8 months. I was looking at new discoveries and acquisition. I did an extended work on simulation models using Eclipse, and then built stochastics field models on GeoX. The active teamwork with Geologists and Geophysicists helped me to strenghen my geological knowledge.
