- Intern - Molecular Genetics Laboratory - Gene therapy
2012 - maintenant
• Purpose of the internship:
To develop novel gene based therapies for cystic fibrosis.
• Activity:
Experiments molecular and cell biology using gene therapy vectors and pharmacologic agents to restore function to the mutant ΔF508 CFTR protein.
-
Harvard Medical School - Massachusetts General Hospital
- Intern - Molecular Neurosurgery Laboratory - Gene therapy
2011 - 2011
• Purpose of the internship:
Study the effect of Herpes Simplex Virus types -1 γ34.5 gene on oncolytic HSV replication in glioblastoma-derived cancer stem-like cells.
• Activity:
Oncolytic HSV displayed extremely low viral replication and cell killing activity in cancer stem-cells. To address this, two oncolytic HSVs have been used to infect cancer stem-cells.
