I have been trained as a technician in biotechnologies (all techniques related to medical and laboratory analyses). During my studies and professional experiences, I have acquired strong skills in different areas.
Indeed, at the University of Créteil, in Dr D. Papy Garcia‘s lab, I have developed excellent skills in cell culture, including maintenance, monitoring, and storage (freezing, thawing) of cell lines; I was in charge of the lab cell cultures. I also studied cellular stress (H2O2 treatment), cell death (MTT assay) and cell differentiation (neuroblastoma to neurons with retinoic acid). I participated in pharmacological studies, performing screening of new candidates. I also participated in the development of a cellular model using SH-SY5Y cell line to study Alzheimer's disease: I carried out protein extractions and biochemical tests (ELISA, Western Blot) to detect and quantify Tau protein in response to cellular stress. I was also in charge of the animal colony maintenance (mice, rats, and fish) including maintenance of the cages and aquariums, animal perfusion and organ harvesting, and neuronal and glial primary cultures. My duties also included the preparation and organization of biochemistry lab classes (preparation of experiments, solutions, and reagents) and mentoring students. I was also in charge of the ordering for the laboratory and the biochemistry lab classes.
I previously worked at the Pasteur Institut, Paris, where I performed bacterial transfections, extractions and purifications of miRNA, RT-PCR and RACE-PCR (Rapid Amplification of cDNA Ends), to identify and characterize miRNA from Bordetella pertussis using microarray and capillary electrophoresis (Bioanalyzer 2100). I have also been in charge of hematopoietic cell counting using FACS, for Aplasia patients when I was working at the Gustave Roussy Institute.
