«Research and Development activities to help to improve the European air traffic management (ATM) system's safety and performance. The EEC was the first centre worldwide to carry-out end-to-end digital real-time simulations.
In practice, we research and validate operational concepts and methods, as well as evaluate related ATC systems in areas such as:
airports,
air traffic control,
communications,
navigation and surveillance,
airspace (airspace and traffic management).
We mainly work for the SESAR Programme to deliver benefits for European aviation with a specific focus on the ATM network in its pan-European dimension.
Our long-standing expertise in civil-military coordination also allows us to ensure that military requirements are fully integrated and system operability maintained.

Job description :
- Responsible for defining the technical architecture of the information system, it ensures consistency between hardware, application aspects, operating systems, networks ...
- It ensures the coherent evolution of the entire information system in compliance with the objectives of the DataCenter, the functional area and the external and internal constraints (risks, costs, time ...)
-Assistance to the Owner, and technical responsibility for network security, administration of UNIX servers, and backup scientist data, architect of the infrastructure (datacenter : virtualization , storage, backup and HPC).
- Support for the operation and administration of UNIX server farms and Scientist Unix farms, SANs, backup critical data (from telescope, or satellite all over the world from several projects : ESA, International consortium, NASA), monitoring and virtualization
