After an experience in research from 2001 to 2005 - I performed a master workshop and a PhD in marine geosciences - I chose to redirect my career in 2006.
Thanks to this IAE (entrepreneurship management school) of Montpellier University I acquired skills in innovation management, with special focus on the creation of Startups from the Public Research area.
I had my first experience in valorisation of public results of research back in 2007 when recruited by Valorpaca Association as a project manager. Back then, my mission was to build a database focused on the technology/competences offers of 6 Universities in the South of France area.
The goal of this database was to improve the visibility of know-how, patents, equipments... in order to increase Partnerships and Transfer opportunities with innovative companies.
Then, I have been recruited by the well-known French institute of research, CNRS, as a research engineer specialized in Partnerships and Technology Transfer. My job was mainly about writing and negotiating contracts for research collaboration between CNRS teams and companies, and also giving advice to the researchers for their technology tranfer projects (start up, patents).
Still going forward, I integrated Inria in 2010 ( French research institute specialized in numerical sciences). I have since been constantly improving my knowledge in software and its specific intellectual property rules. My tasks at Inria were to find and implement the best solutions for the protection of the technologies (software essentially), create and develop transfer strategies, use open source and proprietary licenses, and raise researcher’s awareness of Transfer and Innovation stakes in a very innovative and competitive industrial and academic environment.
Today I work for two internationally famous laboratories, LABRI and IMS, which belong to CNRS and Bordeaux University: I'm in charge of partnerships and technology transfer projects.
