Storage call for tender:
• Collection of all the stakeholders’ requirements (Business, Operational teams…)
• Management and complete writing of a call for tender of 5 years referencing for Airbus Group, with cost reduction of 50% (5M€), in 2009 and 2014.
• Supply of “Best Practices” guides to operational teams.
• Management of the complete consolidation of the entire multi-sites data architecture, with implementation of storage on demand solution based on a storage catalogue, including some level of service with Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
• Writing and follow up of suppliers’ contract, coordination of contractors.
Capacity planning:
• Budget elaboration and follow up
• Management of the entire capacity planning for the Airbus Engineering entity.
• Periodic reporting on the capacity usage.
• Delivery management for all Europe.
Infrastructure evolutions and study
• Design and migration management of 3 Data Centres (2 in Bristol, 1 in Toulouse)
• Obsolescence management and writing of the corresponding migration scenarios, with impact analysis; tasks planning and management
• Study and implementation of BCP and DRP, with intra and inter site replications for critical applications (Oracle, SQL, CAD, HPC…)
• Study of Scale out solution, EMC Isilon, NetApp cDOT…
• Redesign of the SAN infrastructures, consolidation of 5 SAN in 1
• Redesign of the NAS infrastructure, migration from NetApp 7-mode to cDOT Scale out solution.
• Proof of concept and Mockup of high availability and DR solutions: NetApp MetroCluster and Cloud solutions based on 3PAR / VMWare.
• Migration from Physical and split infrastructures to private cloud and service oriented one (Iaas, Paas, SaaS)
