    the formation, stabilization and characterization of emulsions, dispersions and foams, and controlling the flow behaviour (rheology) of fluidic and soft solid products by formulation to optimize their stability, ease of use and application performance.

    Project : development of new technologies for waterborne trim paints and woodcare paints.
    Developement of emulsions oil in water by different process (high shear instruments homogeniser, microfluidiser, ultraturrax, inverse emulsification)
    Characterisation of the emulsions (particle size measurement via laser diffraction and dynamic light scattering, rheology profile via rotational rheometer, shape and size analysis via optical microscope, SEM and AFM, interfacial and surface tension measurement).
    Synthesis of polyurethane polymers.

    Responsible for the reinvention of a high solid recoatable epoxy buildcoat with good weathering resistance

    Investigate new types of epoxies, hardeners, fillers, non-VOC solvents and rheological agents
    Develop different formulations of bases and hardeners
    Establish methods for testing recoatability, weathering resistance and water resistance.

Freedom to operate studies, patentability studies according three conditions which are novelty, inventive step and industrial applicability; drafting of patent application, creation of a table with the patent term extension of the drugs patents and the data protection in each country have been my tasks during my internship.

    Paris 2006 - 2007 Nine-month industrial placement in organic chemistry at Sanofi-Aventis in a research group in cardiovascular medicinal chemistry. Totals synthesis of molecules, bibliographic seeking for the step developpement, purification of actifs compounds. Authentication analysis of the structure and the purity of synthesized compounds .

    Purification techniques : recrystalisation, flash chromatography (use of flash master), HPLC.
    Analytical techniques : LC-MS, NMR (1H, C13).
    Synthetic techniques : Palladium coupling, alkylation, halogenation, potection, deprotection, hydrogenation, saponification, Sandmeyer.
