    2006 - 2008 ALSTOM Transport sold in 2004 thanks to president Jacques Chirac a serie of Electrical Multiple Units (EMU) Trains.
    This operation led to a tranfert of technology (TT) between ALSTOM Transport and the chinese national train builder.
    The sourcing is one of the most critical points in this TT.
    Chinese buyers have to be trained and helped in their everyday work and key performance indicators following.
    This project is strategic for ALSTOM and followed by the top level Management.

    2005 - 2006 In the Railway industry sheet metal work commodity is strategic.
    The supplier management has to be rationalized to the maximum.
    By the way the Alstom Sourcing Improvement Program initiated in 2005 aimed at reducing the supplier pannel and increase the scope in LLCC countries.
