The MED programme is a transnational programme of European territorial cooperation.It is financed by the European Union as an instrument of its regional policy and of its new programming period. It continues the tradition of the European programmes for cooperation (previously named Interreg). It takes place within the objective « European territorial cooperation » of the period 2007-2013.
With a budget of more than 250M€ (whose 193M€ of ERDF), the Programme will launch, until exhaustion of its ERDF envelope, calls for projects to build transnational partnerships aiming at meeting the priority objectives of the Programme in the Mediterranean space.

ACC1Ó is the result of the merger of two public institutions, both holding more than 20 years of experience in supporting companies in the domains of innovation and internationalisation. CIDEM is the Centre for Innovation and Business Development while COPCA is the Consortium for Commercial Promotion of Catalonia (COPCA).
The new Agency is premised on a policy of support to the companies and comprehensive service provision in areas such as innovation and technology transfer, export promotion, business development, and market intelligence.

The Chair "WTO – Regional Integration" is a project established with the support of the Spanish Department of Tourism and Trade.
The general objective of the Chair WTO – Regional Integration is to become a focal point for the attraction and projection of international activities related to its thematic field. The Chair WTO – Regional Integration has three specific goals:
* Improve the data and assessment tools available to the Spanish public- and private-sector players
* Strengthen Spain’s international focus
* Contribute to a deeper knowledge and a better operation and application of the multilateral trading system and help enhance its coordination with the regional integration processes.
The activities organised by the Chair WTO – Regional Integration are the following:
* Applied research and dissemination of findings of such research in different formats (print and online publications of varying length and nature, seminars and public debates)
* The University of Barcelona's Master of Laws in International Economic Law and Policy (LL.M. IELPO) features 9 months of learning from many of the most renowned experts drawn from leading law and economics faculties, international organizations, and research centres around the world. The IELPO programme revolves around 7 teaching modules whose aim is to equip participants with in-depth knowledge and the analytical tools required of cutting-edge practitioners in all major fields of international legal and economic governance today.

OBREAL

The European Union – Latin America Observatory (OBREAL) is a network set up by 26 academic institutions and research centers in both regions, which is based in the University of Barcelona.
Its main goal is to promote dialogue and synergies between governmental, academic and social sectors in Europe and Latin America. In this context, OBREAL sets out to "identify and develop all the opportunities offered by the partnership between the two regions to create a better understanding of the regional and sectoral problems which shape policymaking".
OBREAL activities point to create long-lasting relationships between institutions of both regions. Therefore, it is critical for OBREAL to work taking into account specificities and heterogeneity of each region.

Intern: ICEX Internationalization program (Spanish Institute for Export Promotion) to support economic relations between Spain and West Africa (Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and Gambia). Preparation Studies for multilateral and bilateral trade negotiations with countries of the sub-region and particularly in the context of the renewal of agreements between EU-ACP Countries; preparation and monitoring of Development Cooperation Projects; economic and financial studies; consulting to companies on issues of local law, regulation, trade missions and market research; providing information for a newsletter for the Ministries of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Economy, Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
