CODAC stands for COntrol Data Access and Communication.
The main targets of the team are 1) to set up the central control system for the machine operations, 2) to provide all the involved manufacturers and integrators with streamlined control systems tools to develop and set-up their Plant Systems Instrumentation & Control.
My main missions in this team are 1) to maintain the complete network infrastructure (core devices, firewall, access switches) serving the Large Scale Prototype, 2) to set-up, maintain and expand the Technical Room hosting the Large Scale Prototype, 3) develop the adequate procedures and tools to monitor and control the networks.

As part of the Information Technology Section, my main activities were :
1- to set-up, maintain and monitor the Telecom infrastructure. It is composed of a PABX for safety phones, but also ISDN/VOIP gateways for the Telephony Over IP used in our company. There are around 1500+ users.
2- tomanage the mobile telephony contract with one of the French Operators, maintain the Blackberry Server infrastructure, set-up new lines and phones for new comers, and also to support the Blackberry users.
3- to support the Network Team in extending the optical fibre infrastructure over the 80ha site. But also by providing them assistance while testing or expanding the network.

As part of the Logistics & Infrastructure Section, I was in charge of :
1- maintaining technical interfaces with the local services (CEA Cadarache, La Poste ...)
2- writing technical specifications for the new buildings and several contracts.
3- support Safety and Security Department with
a- the Access Control Software and Hardware.
b- the Fire Detection Hardware.
c- the Public Address Hardware and software.
4- set up the VOIP telephony in interface with Information Technology Section.
5- maintain the multifunction copiers/scanners
6- provide guidance and support for the high-level management meetings.
7- provide technical support to the Information Technology for their server rooms
