Pierre AUMJAUD

Exeter

En résumé

I am a research engineer with a strong expertise in numerical modelling and evolutionary optimisation which I developed as part of my PhD. I am currently looking for opportunities in research and development.

My professional interests are primarily focused on numerical simulation and experimental mechanics in structures.

I also have an interest and some expertise in application of evolutionary computing methods alongside numerical simulation techniques.

I enjoy working on programming and robotics projects during my spare time, in particular using the Arduino microcontroller and Raspberry Pi computer.

Entreprises

  • University of Exeter - Intern

Exeter 2011 - 2012 During this internship, I am in charge of modeling the phenomenon of wear with finite element analysis on ABAQUS software. This work will participate in the optimization of damping joints lifespan in Rolls-Royce gas engine.
  • Airbus SAS - Project manager assistant

2011 - 2011 I carried out a 6 months internship as a project manager assistant for ICT department of Airbus S.A.S. (Toulouse, France), the worldwide aircraft manufacturing company.

CatiaV5 is a conception-aided design software used to design aircraft in Airbus company. I led a project which consisted in harmonizing CatiaV5 settings configuration through all Airbus site (France, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom). In a transnational environment, I conducted this project in English.
  • Projet Helios - Technical responsible

2009 - 2010 As part of a student association based in Besançon, France, I participate in "Project Helios". This is a project to create a tracking system to implant solar panels onto our school's roof.
  • Atelier Bouissière - Design office

2009 - 2009 I performed a hands-on training course in a jewellery workshop in Mazamet, France for one month. I designed parts of jewels using computer-aided and manufacturing designed.
  • Sue Ryder Care - Salesman

2008 - 2008 I was a salesman at the Sue Ryder Care charity shop in Muswell Hill, London for one month. I was responsible of incoming material, maintaining an inventory and selling the goods to the public. This job enabled me to sharpen my communication in English, to expand my social skills and allowed me to appreciate a semi-commercial work environment.
