Research in our laboratory is centered on the analysis of mouse vascular and renal pathophysiology, with a particular emphasis on genes implicated in signaling pathways. Our work covers three areas :
GPCRs and RTK signaling in podocytes in response to immune injury, hypertension, and in focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)
Signaling in podocytes and endothelial cells in Sickle Cell Nephropathy and Vasculopathy
Mechanisms of interstital fibrosis and fibrillar collagen assembly in hypertension and immune kidney injury
We are also actively involved in clinical research in the same fields.
