Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) is the research arm of The Economist Group that provides information related to politic, economic and social environment in almost 200 countries around the world.
Required to interact with Senior Level Management and Executives for this role and helped them to identify the most suitable products and services that best meet their needs in operating their business in China. These Executives are both locals and expatriates.
My clients were Multinational Companies and Trade Commissions with operations in one or more cities in China.
- Responsible for US$ 450,000 sales target for 2007/2008
- Built up new business through selling Corporate Network membership, customized research, sponsorship and publications on www.eiu.com
- Built and managed around 40 Corporate Clients mostly of Fortune 100 companies, in financial industry, energy, logistics, manufacturing and trade commissions.
- Constantly overachieved all of the required KPIs and was rewarded higher bonus throughout the employment.
- Established and maintained relationship with senior level management of the above mentioned clients, including those in the position of China Head, CFO, Director of Sales, Government Affairs etc.

- Built the business in Beijing from zero in February 2003 to a total of US$ 200,000 (Euro 175,000) of personal billing at the time of leaving

Started and established the financial section for TMP Worldwide Beijing office. Recruited senior level financial position for MNCs in China.
Clients included ; Shell, Goldman Sachs Realty Japan, ConocoPhillips, Bank of America, South Africa Brewery.
- Started as an intern, and at the end of the 3 months internship was promoted to Associate Consultant skipping the Researcher role which was the norm in the company.
- Constantly overachieved the quarterly Key Performance Indications set by the management;
Billed over (equivalent to) Euro 45,000 in one quarter within 9 months of working, productivity level twice the average of the office.
- Built up client database, established and maintained relationship with and place candidates into major names of the industries such as SABMiller, Goldman Sachs Realty Japan Ltd., Nestle, Kraft and Shell.
- Built up the candidate database from a very limited pool to more than 1000 qualified candidates within the period of employment
- One of the last hired employees of the office, but asked to stay until the end of the operation while the people joining earlier were asked to leave immediately when announcement was made to close the Beijing office.
