This included development and implementation of business plans for key identified opportunities and challenges, launch of new products, development of Marketing and Sales Teams and structures of multicultural backgrounds and disciplines. This was coupled with the establishment of strategic and commercial alliances with key partners/customers.

  • MERCK & Co - Group, then Senior Regional Manager (New Products) - Middle East Africa

    Lyon 1989 - 1995 Markets covered: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, South Africa, Middle East, and Africa.
    • Directed Regional Functional Groups to expedite new launches (13 Business Units in the region and 4 key new products launched).
    • Developed Marketing teams in the newly established Turkish and South Africa entities. Trained 12 Products Managers.
    • Established a new product launch model (a model adopted then for the Regional Markets).
    • Created and chaired a New Regional Products Committee (key players from over 10 countries) setting agendas and facilitating establishment of priorities and corresponding action plans.
