    -Conducted “Value Stream Analysis” study

    -Proposed and created a Kanban aided Pull-Flow production planning system, named ”Sequencer”, targeted to manufacture 7200 Radiators per day:
    o freed 15 m² of space from the storage area and added it to the production area
    o reduced the quantity of intermediate stock from 2400 pieces to 1800 pieces
    o Prepared the sequencer’s “Work Instruction Manual”

    Plant workforce: 1000 employees, 24/7, Plant annual sale in 2009: 108 million €

    -Supervised a team of 40 skilled union workers, manufacturing 4000 parts (Charge Air Coolers) per shift for BMW, Renault-Nissan, Peugeot-Citroen, Mercedes, Volvo, WV, Ford, with a defect per million rate equal to 5 ppm

    -Planned daily production schedule to meet the client’s deadlines, production capacity, workforce and material resource availability

    -Established and maintained safety and health practices and carried out ergonomics studies on two assembly lines

    -Reduced machine downtime by 12% through a Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) workshop along with section’s maintenance services
    o Sorted and analyzed the root causes of frequent breakdowns
    o Updated the TPM schedule, divided the TPM tasks to operator and maintenance technician levels in a more realistic way
    o Increased operators’ awareness about preventive actions instead of curative actions

    -Lowered the Aluminum Laminate waste rate from 40,000 ppm to 22,000 ppm :
    o Applied Factor Tree Analysis and determined the root cause of the problem (uneven rolled aluminum coils)
    o Provided a presentation of the results to Management Committee and arranged the supplier to add a new “rolling criteria” to the product specification sheet

    -Prepared and held monthly meetings with production staff and presented factory’s financial performance and outlined team challenges for the upcoming months

    -Hired operators and conducted employees’ annual career planning interviews and allocated salary raises within a budget

    -Volunteered to replace my section’s other manufacturing supervisors in their absence in order to learn from their best practices in different work environments, job duties and working hours

    Internship, Plant workforce: 900 employees

    - Studied the production process and collected operators’ feedback to implement Sequencer workshop program for BMW’s New-Mini locksets production line:
    o increased the Delivery Service Rate from 90% to 100%
    o Reduced “finished good” and “semi-product” stock from four to two days, saving company 24,000 €

    -Implemented a 5S workshop on the related assembly line with concerning staff
