Sébastien was trained in finance and is a graduate of the HEC Paris Executive MBA, where he was top of his class. He has 20 years' experience as an operational director, having developed a “Hands-on” approach with entrepreneurial instincts, high levels of credibility and influencing skills.
He launched his career as a finance manager for a software publisher, then quickly became Director of Finance and Human Resources at RFS, a subsidiary of the Reuters group. The company was going through a period of 2- and 3-figure growth in its international business. Sébastien managed 600 people and a budget of €74M while there. During that time, he directed and participated in over 20 operations involving business launches, acquisitions, and restructuring in very short time-frames.
In 2005, Sébastien turned towards entrepreneurship and directed several restructuring operations and mergers in the biotech, telecom, and media sectors. At SpineVision, he oversaw the raising of €5M capital in 3 months at the same time as the organization was being restructured. At In-Fusio, he implemented deep changes that enabled the company to survive 2 major developments in the market.
In 2008, in addition to acting as director, he became Senior Lecturer & Coach in Strategy and Change at HEC, as part of the Executive MBA program. He specializes in providing support to directors and managers on operational strategy, change management and implementation. He is also Academic Coordinator and member of the Academic Board.
In 2012, he became partner of IMV Management Partners, a management consulting firm specializing in the role of the manager and managers' performance.
To date, Sébastien has assisted more than 100 directors and top managers, helping them develop their strategic analysis and set up operational implementation. He works in this capacity with companies such as RFF, Atos-Origin, LVMH, BT, Belambra, Veolia, Disney, Alcatel, Cisco, L’Oreal, Oberthur, EADS & many start-ups.
