    • Proactive regular expediting of vendors for material and documentation
    (currently 35 running Purchase Orders to manage),
    • Identification of any issues that may be meet during the execution phase of the POs,
    • Work with project management team and vendors to meet contractual delivery dates,
    • Close follow-up of material transportation and delivery,
    • Keep accurate and complete recors on inspection and expediting activities, supplier service level,
    • Improvement of Material Status Reports,
    • Evaluation of supplier performance.

    DCNS business unit EIM (Energy and Maritime Infrastructure) is specialised in renewable and nuclear energy as well as shipyards maintenance. It proposes its expertise as a prime contractor for major subassemblies for nuclear powerplants and is a service provider in areas ranging from nuclear powerplant maintenance and life extension to decommissioning and dismantling.

    Project: JHR (Jules Horowitz Reactor)

    Material Testing Reactors under construction.
    JHR will be used for nuclear medicine to supply hospitals with short-lived radioisotopes used for medical imaging or therapeutic purposes. JHR will provide high performance silicon used in electronic power devices, such as those included in electrical and hybrid vehicles or in energy control systems.

    • Full responsability for design, equipments on several fluid circuits of JH Reactor,
    • Teamwork with mockup designers, site engineering team, document controllers, project management team
    • Development of pressure loss calculation tool
    • Deliver fully fonctional fluid systems to the production team.

    DCNS is currently developing the Barracuda program, which relates to the delivery of six SSNs to the French Navy, of which the first, Le Suffren, will enter service in 2017. These new-generation SSNs combine the latest technological advances in terms of acoustic discretion with nuclear propulsion.

    • CFD Simulation of submarine weapon launching from lastest generation of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine
    • Study of cavitation inception during the launching phase
    • Analysis/comparison/consistency between tests and CFD simulation
    • Validation of calculation code used to predict weapons dynamic behaviours during the different lauching phases.
    • Study/comparison of three cavitation calculation codes.
