  • Allied Signal & Robert Bosch - International Project Management, Technical Expert (NVH)

    1995 - 2007 Emigrated in 1995, to enter into the French/ European R&D culture at Allied Signal which quickly (1 year) became Robert Bosch at the Drancy site nr Paris for ABS~ESP electronic braking systems.
    Creating the added value for Bosch's offer of ' Full Systems Supplier', in both Paris & Stuttgart personnel to;

    - Create techniques, facilities & capabilities to support the Full System Supplier approach including client engineer training

    - Developed Full Vehicle 'Simulation' capability to reduce costly winter-test needs

    - Consult to the global client base on in-vehicle installation of the ESP etc systems
    - Harmonise standards between R&D centres: Germany- France- Japan- USA
    - Responsibility for the 'Electric Hand Brake, - at both integration & component level
    It being a new 4th 'core' product & pilot

    While also representing Bosch as a company director for over a decade (French regional SME)
  • Ford Motor Company (R&D centre Dunton-UK)) - Instrumentation & NVH 'Quality' Engineer

    1984 - 1995 An apprentice Test instrumentation 'Engineer' (As per the CNAM),
    dealing in bespoke equipment development, calmibration & commissioning work.

    Followed as a qualified engineer by joining the NVH section to benchmark vehicles & develop 'Quality' measurements.

    - Escort vehicle 'Press' launch support at Nice (France)
    - 1st Loudness measurements in the UK using specific 'Bruel & Kjaer' equipment for door slam quality
    - Batchelors Degree project; was on how to add ''vibration' as a sensory feedback whist evaluating 'Audio conform' vehicle noise recordings.
