Ensure the supervision/coordination of the quality control welding inspections and the implementation of the Quality Control Plans for welding activities.Approve the quality control plans within remit. Check the weld procedures and qualification of welders. Allocate and coordinate Quality Control personnel for Welding works to the various areas of site activity. Check the availability and adequacy of filler materials and equipment for weld execution and control. Ensure that welding material and equipment are correctly received, stored, preserved and handled. Check that weld filler materials are correctly identified and traceable Implement the inspection, control and test notification process (RFI) Check, insofar as within remit, the test packages for pipe system inspections. Supervises welding works, also checking the precautions taken by the welder to preserve the filler material and operate in adverse atmospheric conditions. Check heat treatment record diagrams. Ensure the assessment of non-destructive controls and the orderly collection and management of the relevant documentation. Ensure that inspections and controls are carried out in accordance with the Quality Control Plan and with applicable specifications and codes, obtains the relevant documentation Check the extent of the repairs made by the various welders, taking any corrective actions where necessary. Ensure that weld non-destructive controls are complete and up to date, for the purpose of approvals of mechanically completed plant systems. Check the documents certifying the controls and inspections carried out and ensure their orderly collection and management. Support the systematic collection of lessons learned on the individual site. Ensure the preparation of the welding dossier for final handover to the Client. Provide specialist support to the Quality Control Manager in relations with the Client and the responsible Authorities and referring problems that cannot be directly resolved.
