Entreprises

  • Ecole M.C. Dumonceau - Enseignant

  • Merck-Serono - Safety Report Specialist

Lyon 2008 - 2009 -Safety Report Specialist: ASR & SUSAR redaction
  • CAPSANT NEUROTECHNOLOGIES LTD - Consultant in electrophysiology

2007 - 2007 I worked as consultant in electrophysiology, participating in the characterization of an innovative approach based on extracellular multi-electrode array (MEA) recordings of stem cell-derived neuronal cells. My work aim at validation of this approach in order to develop an high throughput screening platform for drug screening applications.
  • Freelance - Rédacteur biomédical

2006 - 2011 Freelance reviewer/redactor in the biomedical field (clinical study reports, bibliographic reports, etc…) for pharma. & agro-industrial companies (ex.:MAYOR; Annecy, France)
  • Freelance - Traducteur

2006 - 2010 Biomedical translations for LEXITEK (Genève, CH, http://www.lexitek.net/), but also as independent freelance translator.
  • MDS-PharmaServices-Geneva - Study director

2000 - 2002 As a study designer in molecular electrophysiology , I had been carrying out a new patch-clamp assay in safety pharmacology (hERG safety testing) and providing both basic & technical leadership of the project. This patch-clamp assay (strategy for risk assessment of pharmaceuticals on in vitro IKr current by recording of heterologous hERG-channel expressed in CHO cell) has been successfully implemented and commercialized since 2002.
  • Universités de Genève & Lausanne (CH) / Picardie & Provence (Fr) - Maître-Assistant/ATER (Research & Teaching Assistant)

1989 - 2006 Since 1989, as Teaching & Research Assistant, I have been fulfilling different research & teaching functions both in French (Univ. de Provence, Univ. de Picardie) and Swiss Universities (Univ. de Genève, Univ. de Lausanne), working with pre- or post-graduated students in Biology, Biochemistry, Psychology, Medicine & Pharmacy.

    * My research activities focused on three main topics:
    ----------------------------------------------------
-Molecular mechanism of neurotransmitter (Ach & excitatory amino acid) release, -Neuronal and glial modulation of neurotransmission,
-Regulation of ion channels function (ligand-gated channels, VDCC, KATP, etc)
using neurochemical, molecular biology and electrophysiology methods.

    * Other topics were also addressed during my research acitivities, such as:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
    -Stem-cell neuronal differentiation,
    -Ion-channel function of TNF lectin_like domain &
    -t-Type VDCC & Ischemia
    -Glutamate uptake & Parkinson disease
-Zinc control of KATP & insulin secretion (linked to hyperinsulism or diabetes)

    * In addition to my teaching activities at Geneva Medical Faculty, I also
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    provided:
    ---------
    - seminar for biology teachers (formation continue, PO 28, DIP , Genève; 1998),
    - specialised training & workshops for graduated students in biochemistry (2 months/yr; 1997-2002),
    - training & technical support to 4 PhD students (Dpt. Pharmacologie, CMU; 1995-2003)
    - seminar in "Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Bio-engineering" (Ecole d'ingénieur de Genève, Hes•so; one seminar/yr, 2007, 2008 & 2009),

and managed & supervised, during 4 year, a Pharmacology & Toxicology course
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
for graduated & post-graduated students of Geneva Sciences Faculty (1998 to 2002).

Formations

  • Université Aix Marseille 1 Provence (Marseille)

    Marseille 1990 - 1993 (+ Moniteur d'enseignement sup. & ATER)

    PhD in Neurosciences
