Key responsibilities and duties:
- Owning the end-to-end KYC process from creation/ renewal to approval for research and validation of customer identification data
- Screening of customers' accounts to ensure that AML mechanisms apply. Scrutinise new and active accounts to track any illegal transactions linked to terrorism financing, child pornography, human trafficking, etc.
- Liaison with other account control teams to ensure customers are opened correctly and meet local regulatory requirements;
- Daily monitoring of account, refresh activity to ensure all regulatory / documentation requirements are met
- Research, collate and review information from internal and external sources for company news (Handelsregister, Infogreffe, Registre de Commerce et des Sociétés du Luxembourg, KvK, Annual Reports, Thomson Reuters World Check, Irish CRO, Dun & Bradstreet, Companies House, etc.)
- Legal Name Changes accreditation, due to marriage/divorce/deed poll/business name change
- Proactively interact with relationship management teams and compliance to update system with information until final approval while ensuring team SLAs are met
- Take responsibility for KYC and associated documentation completion from initiation to approval, tracing corporate and individual entity ownership of clients to ultimate owners.
- Validate the KYC information and CIP document to ensure accuracy (Company/Entity Formation, Ownership, Management, Market Reputation etc.)
- Carry out name screening of entity, directors, beneficial owners, senior management in NESS (Name and Entity Screening System)
- Ensure that system record incorporates local regulatory requirements and Account Profiles.
- Meet agreed daily targets for review and completion within agreed Service Level Agreement
- Highlight any discrepancies to AIU (Account Intelligence Unit) senior analysts
- Escalate any negative news and high risk cases to AML Compliance department Specialists
