    2009 - 2010 Renaissance2 is a think-and-do-tank that seeks to integrate the power of innovators in business, design, governance and technology to mark the beginning of a great shift in our economy, culture and biosphere. After having attended a five-day conference hosted by leading innovators in the fields of Conscious Evolution and the Design of a New, Resilient Civilization, I ended up being invited to work for the organization.

    o Worked alongside the founder to define product and service features, define pricing strategy and positioning, build organizational strategy, and write a business plan.
    o In a start-up environment, I was responsible for managing day-to-day business operations and event coordination, managing and writing communications, directing a 130k Google adWords budget and developing targeted advertising campaigns.
    o Led organization, management and follow-through of a virtual team across Europe and the U.S.
    o Used Holacracy Project Management tools to facilitate and participate in Agile-like meetings.

  • Renascence Business Accelerator - Co-Founder

    2005 - 2007 Renascence Business Accelerator is a company I started post-MBA to help small to medium sized companies reach venture capital funding.

    o Negotiated a deal with my business school’s “Directeur Général” (French for CEO) to help build and promote entrepreneurship at the school. In coordination with the MBA Dean, we built a program for the management teams of client companies to participate at recommended points within the intensive 10-month MBA. I managed client company coordination, coached management teams and brokered introductions and elevator pitch-presentations within venture capital networks in Monaco and the European Union.

    o 01tribe.com had developed a mobile app case study for Air One Airlines that won the top mobile app award at the annual Macromedia conference. After having worked with the MBA class for about three months, I went to Rome to work for this graphics design agency turned mobile application development shop to help them commercialize the product. In a start-up environment, I helped define key product features, brand the product, develop product demos and presentations, do market research, establish pricing strategy, and launch a pilot. Today, the AirOne product, originally branded as “fly60.com”, is generating revenue as the mobile booking and check-in app for Alitalia airlines in Italy.
  • France Telecom Strategic Alliances - Management Consulting MBA Internship

    2005 - 2005 As the MBA capstone project, class teams of five self-organized and bid for potential management consultant engagements arranged and paid for by the business school. Working directly with the VP of Strategic Alliances, our project deliverable involved building a financial model to identify and valuate the financial interests of eight strategic partnerships under consideration by the France Telecom Board of Directors.

    o As Project Manager for my team, I was responsible for communications with the client, gathering information from experts at France Telecom, and reporting progress on our solution.
    o In the final phase of our four-month project, I designed and integrated the graphical user interface used to present to the France Telecom CEO and Board (See Product Demos).
  • U.S. Department of State - Sr. Business Analyst / Software Architect

    2002 - 2004 The CFO/Assistant Secretary of State commissioned a web-based solution to centralize the financial resources of the U.S. Embassies worldwide. I was recruited to put together a web development team, evaluate and select technology, and build a solution from the ground-up.

    o As Sr. Business Analyst and de facto Project Manager, I facilitated meetings using Joint Application Development (JAD) to gather and document business requirements, analyze and reengineer business processes, develop functional and technical designs, and create storyboards for the fourteen departments that comprise the CFO’s office.
    o My solution involved n-tier application architecture of four major development efforts: Designing a scalable database (eg. Data mining, schema design and Advanced T-SQL), Developing Middleware with ColdFusion OOP, Integrating Ektron CMS and OrgPlus, and Programming a Flash user interface with JavaScript.
    o As a non-government employee, I helped hire and give performance review feedback of one direct report.
    o Managed two direct reports of a four-person web team.
  • U.S. Customs Data Center - Web Developer – ASP/Oracle

    2000 - 2002 The engineers who service the hundreds of posts along the U.S. borders needed a way to store, search and distribute access to site-specific knowledge, technical documentation for a myriad of software and hardware, and several versions of installed software.

    o I developed a technical support intranet which included use of DHTML, ASP and JavaScript coding, development of a search engine, and database design and implementation in Oracle.
  • IKON IT Consulting & Systems Integration - Systems Engineer + Sales – NT/Novell/Citrix/ECM

    1998 - 1999 o Helped account managers sell Enterprise Document Management solutions, mainly to DC law firms and the U.S. Government at $5bn technology consulting firm.
    o Contributed to RFI/RFPs, Prepared Proof of Concepts, Developed technological business solutions, and created and gave presentations to customers.
    o As fulltime onsite Technologist, worked directly with the Managing Director to support and improve analytics of multiple channel sales for home inspections by developing scripts for sales force automation and recording key data to GoldMine CRM.
