• Capitalize and provide an expertise to support internal costing related topics
• Drive and support development, maintenance and utilization of costing methodologies and tools in co-operation with the related functional departments (ME, PUR, PC&L, D&D, Finance, CBU,…):
• Official rates building and update (materials, labor, machines, etc.)
• Product cost models (internal, customer and supplier related)
• Customer cost break downs
• Development cost models
• Tooling cost models
• Distribute best practice between RFQs, CBUs and functional departments
Operational Activities:
• Drive target costing process, target cost definition down to component level (Top-down / Design to Cost)
• Analyse & challenge cost information provided
• Provide cost analysis on cost changes (ECR, comparisons,..)
• Participate to technical choices and technical hypothesis at acquisition phase
• Support continuous improvement processes on tools and methodology
• Provide transversal analysis to support industrial choice
