    Saint Priest 2015 - 2015 I having been appointed bby VCE to support Terex Truck to identify the product cost potential on their range of Articulated Hauler.
    The target was 3%, a reduced project team has identified more.
    I have run and set-up with the team the pre-study :
    - a Teamplace gathering all project team documents
    - a Product Development Agreement with a India 3rd Party
    - a Pareto graph showing 20% of parts making 80% of the Truck product cost
    - a list of cost reduction ideas with potential savings per idea
    - a project scope with 4 scenarios and including project budget from £0,5M up to £2M presented to Steering Committee for decision

  • Volvo - CHIEF ENGINEER BACKHOE LOADER INDIA

    Saint Priest 2013 - 2015 Project budget of 5M€ with reporting to Steering Committee composed of Vice President
    Goal: Localize, adaptdesign to local specifications and cost reduce the full Backhoe Loader machine based on European design:
    - Leading the Engineering Development
    - Localized design up to 95%
    - Cost reduced by more than 50% compared to baseline design
    - Supported by an Engineering team located in Bangalore (9) & Gurgaon (10)
    - All Prototypes built and tested in Pithampur (3 engineers and 5 Mechanics & drivers)

  • Volvo Construction Equipment - Chief Project Manager

    Saint Priest 2007 - 2013 2010 – 2012: Led 2x teams of 6 to 8 people with a budget of 1,5 M€ to 2M€ per project, reporting to Steering Committee composed of Vice Presidents.

    Managed 2 projects which were implemented on the following machines:
    • Backhoe Loader, Compact Wheel Loader, Soil Compactor, Compact Excavator 5 to 8 T
    • The aim was to generate savings thanks to co-development and the reduction of the number of suppliers

    The 2 projects were:
    • Common Engine Auxiliary Systems for diesel engines, such as cooling system, air cleaner, fuel system
    • Common Electronic Platform: developed common electronic platform composed of instrument clusters, electronic boxes and softwares: specified in Europe, then developed & tested by a team in Bangalore - India

    2007 – 2009: Managed a project team of 6 to 8 people with a budget of 2,5 to 3M€ per projects, reporting to Steering Committee composed of Vice Presidents.

    Managed as Chief Project Manager a range of Skid Steer Loader Tier 3 development with wheels and track:

    • Produced in Brazil until end of year 2012
