With a background in immunology and neurosciences, I am focusing my research on the interplay between commensal microbiota and the host.
My projects are investigating the systemic effects of probiotics on host physiology, especially the immune system, and the impact of gut microbiota on neurophysiology and behavior, with a focus on psychiatric diseases.
Regarding the interplay between microbiota and systemic immune responses, I am involved in the Bioaster project "Immunobiotic" with several academic and non-academic partners.

During my PhD in immunology, I studied the interface between two complex systems: the central nervous system and the immune system.
In particular, my research explored the mechanisms of axonal and neuronal damage caused by cytotoxic CD8 T cells.
I used a neurotropic virus as a tool to induce neuroinflammation and as part of a virology team, I participated to virology studies.

During this internship, I studied mucosal immune responses to Toxoplasma gondii focusing in particular on the parasite uptake and migration. I also eveloped a recombinant BCG strain expressing a T. gondii protein in order to improve BCG immunogenicity.
