    - Network engineering for the deployment of the Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) offer. I also leveraged from our existing WAN acceleration solution and extended it to the Cloud by using Riverbed Cloud Steelheads within Amazon VPC.

    - In charge of the Global WAN acceleration RFP (800+ devices): document writing, technical evaluation, network design, PoC, worldwide roll-out for core appliances (Riverbed Steelheads, Interceptors, Cloud Steelheads, Steelhead Cloud Accelerator)

    - Built a distributed and scalable virtual lab based on Dynamips / GNS3 / VirtualBox with 40 CPU cores, able to simulate and run tens of Cisco IOS instances and VMs, linked together.

    - In charge of the technical evaluation for choosing the new Global DNS Registar. RFP writing, short-listing.
  • Ilevo - Schneider Electric PLC - Network consultant

    2004 - 2008 I bring my telco / ISP experience to every level and department within the company, such as R&D, software team, support, business dev, innovation. Technical watch was one of my main task in this job.

    Main projects:

    - 6 months study of FTTH market for the Innovation Dpt. of Schneider Electric
    - Technical manager for the design and implementation of the e-shop web site
    - Project manager for the design of the new OSS / BSS tool
    - System and network integration of BPL products in ISP environment (routing, QoS, VoIP, Multicast)
    - Pre-sales support for a large set of european Telcos / utilities
    - Head of advanced training sessions for the certification program of our customers (EN/FR)
  • COLT Telecom - Internet Backbone Team Leader

    1998 - 2003 Network engineering of COLT Internet backbone in France

    Main projects:

    - Head of Internet Backbone NOC, COLT France (team of 4 engineers) : design, deployment, upgrade, troubleshooting of COLT Internet core network:

    - 3000+ leased lines and 2000+ hosted servers owned by critical customers (ISPs, banks, TV, top 10 FR web sites)

    - In charge of peering policy (90+ peers), capacity planning, network evolution, process writing for an endless evolving network with 24/24 7/7 support.

    - Technology transfer of CDN solution from Adero facilities (Boston) to COLT french data center.

    - Roll-out of the domestic IP network aggregating customers' leased lines for Internet access offer

    - Manage the high-pace growth of one of the largest Datacenter in Europe for COLT in Paris

    - Supporting sales in presenting the backbone network and engineering rules to critical customers.
  • ImagiNet - Network Engineer

    1996 - 1997 One of the first major french Internet Service Provider. (Has been acquiered by COLT telecom in 1998)

    - Managed the network growth triggered by the ramp-up of business solutions : domestic dial-up network, leased lines, hosting.

    - Design and implementation of the Network Operation Center with associated processes : network monitoring, capacity planning tools, escalation procedures.
  • Alpes Networks - Technical manager

    1995 - 1996 Co-founder of the first Internet Service Provider in french Alps

    Alpes-Networks was a dialup-oriented ISP (Internet Service Provider) for end-users and professional market.
    I was in charge of the system and network administration (based on the first Linux distribution) and managed the ramp-up of the whole technical solution.
