Marc BAILLET has worked on various industrial projects for major international companies and their subcontractors and partners. He is used to working in an international and multicultural environment, dealing with complex issues. He has gained significant experience in both rail (suburban & High-Speed Railway) and urban projects (metro, tramway)

He was first specialized in the implementation of detailed Time Schedules and related information (WBS, GANTT, S-Curves, 45° Curves, follow-up reporting, baseline, critical path, linear scheduling with Tilos…), Cost Management (Earned Value, hours booking, Purchase Request validation, recurring financial statements, cost scheduling, cost control, quantities survey…) and Risks & Opportunities management (identification and implementation of Risks, Dashboards)

Marc has also experience in international operation management team, covering a broad project portfolio, and implementing the project management best practices in his region. In particular, he headed the Southern Europe Cluster (commercial development, ongoing projects, Branch Management)

Marc recently joined New York CBTC Team to improve his knowledge in Metro Systems and progressively take the full lead of a project.

    Detailed description of the expert mission: Assist the Project Manager in his tasks:
    - Leads integrated project teams including System and Integration, Carborne, Wayside, Software, Safety, ATS, DCS, Training, Testing and Commissioning
    - Ensures consistency of the project management activities from a technical and contractual perspective.
    - Designs and analyzes high-level specifications for alteration or modification of existing rail signaling systems to improve safety or function (Subway, Commuter Lines).
    - Checks systems design or cost estimations to ensure completeness, accuracy, or conformity to engineering standards or practices.
    - Assists the client in project management: Chairs technical meetings with the contractors, monitors and reports delay, technical and quality issues to the client;
    - Supports the client during negotiations for additional work and claims.
    - Manages workload and resource allocation. Drives hiring and staffing process for his project, identifies need for new resources and manages customer resources approval.
    - Manages customer invoicing. Deals with changes of scope, cost and schedule of project works. Leads internal project performance review meetings and discussions.
