Oil and water production (23 producers and 7 water injectors) of respectively 30,000 and 70,000 BPD till Feb 2005. Gas produced up to 8 MMSCFD. Oil Production rate expected to reach 60,000 BPD in November 2006 due to 14 well drillings scheduled.
Existing production facilities 8 years old and designed to handle 30 000 BPD.
Gas compression, reinjection and CPU revamping projects are on going.
Production engineer providing technical support and troubleshooting to the production activities regarding process matters and reporting as necessary to Site Manager.
Responsibilities included:
-Making modification dossiers in terms of process and following up modification documentation till close-out.
-Suggesting process improvements of the facilities to the Site Manager based on site feed-back among which laboratory results (e.g. produced hydrocarbons characteristics modification, injected water quality) and wells production rate.
-Following -up with the Production Teams, efficiency of chemicals by assisting performance test of various chemicals suppliers.
Making, updating the Operating Procedures and suggesting modifications to the Site Manager.
-Following-up all metering measurements performed on the field and suggesting to the Site Manager Improvement, re-calibration or modification in case of deviations.
-Reviewing and analyzing daily production reports. Preparing material balance and monitoring results.
-Following-up and optimizing production shortfalls
-Participating in the preparation of minor and major shutdowns with all other parties in order to optimize duration, sequences, and resources.
-Ensuring and promoting the existence and the use of the HSE rules on site.
-Ensuring that existing installations as well as all proposed modifications stay within Total’s safety Standards or bringing them back to standard.
-Coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, OPERSAFE audits and participation in Process Techincal review (PTR).
