  • AltioStar , Bangalore, India - Customer Engineering Director

    2012 - 2013 LTE eNodeB, Start-up of 180 people, $70M financing

    Playing a pivotal role in the creation and leadership of the Customer Engineering and Services teams of Altiostar Networks Inc in India, setting up a team of network planning experts, lab validation and customer support engineers. Defined the requirements, organised and negotiated the purchase of laboratory tools for close to $2M within 3 months. Worked with customers and QA team on test plans, test setups and resources allocation in view of qualifying the eNodeB to 3GPP standards and field performance validation. Worked with suppliers and partners to setup training and support programs for the team.
  • Sigalgo Technology Ltd., UK (later Altiostar) - CEO

    2011 - 2013 LTE RF Sub-systems & Test Equipment, Start-up

    Founded, developed and positioned Sigalgo Technology Limited as a LTE infrastructure test equipment company. Lead the sales and marketing, supply chain management, contract negotiation, vendor management and client account management. Additionally responsible for managing cash flow, undertaking fund raising and ensuring accounting compliance in order to enable stability and limit liability.

    Major achievements include:

    * Managed Sigalgo through the transition from engineering service consultancy to product company
    * Led the negotiation and due diligence during the acquisition process
    * Defined product strategy and features to meet key customers' requirements whilst maintaining margin
    * Booked first substantial sales
  • Axis NT Ltd, UK, - VP Sales

    2007 - 2010 Start-up, $40M CA, 45 people

    Focusing on driving substantial revenue growth including successfully developing the company into an internationally recognised supplier. Additionally initially responsible as Program Manager for closure on major contracts, ensuring products are delivered on time and within budget.

    Major achievements include:

    * Developed Axis NT Ltd. from a $3M turnover company focused on the supply of wireless Software Defined Radio to the UK market into a $15M company selling wireless infrastructure to major OEMs in South Korea, US and India within a 2 year period leading the company acquisition by Ace Technology Inc for $40M
    * Instrumental in securing a $15m contract with Samsung Electronics
    * Closed the initial deal with Alcatel Lucent ;
    * Initiated the business model transition to license model through close partnership with customers, delivering GBP 2m cash to the bottom line enabling the financing of new products development

    Undertaking the role of Key Account Director following acquisition of Axis NT Ltd. by Ace Technology, Korea with responsibility for overseeing the management of key client accounts.

    * Positioned AceAxis as a key LTE supplier of Alcatel Lucent when they were actually reducing their supplier base
    * Introduced new Ace Group products to Mobile Networks Operators in South East Asia

  • Axxcelera Inc, UK - EMEA Sales Director

    2006 - 2007 LTE / Wimax eNodeB,

    Initially undertaking the role of EMEA Sales Director for Remec, continuing in the same role following acquisition by Axxcelera Inc. during 2006. Developing distribution channels in EMEA and closing multiple deals with the Middle East and Nordic Operators in addition to expanding the product WiMAX BTS portfolio.

    Major achievements include:

    * Created sales and technical support offices; building sales and support teams in Europe and the Middle East
    * Closed multi million dollar deals via the establishment of a partner network in Eastern Europe
    * Closed a supply deal with Etisalat and introduced microwave products to the existing WiMAX contract; resulting in approximately double contract value

    Senior Account Manager for Motorola, Ericsson and large MNOs. Wireless Infrastructure and sub-systems. Responsibilities included the management of existing key revenue generating business while developping long term strategic ties with various levels within the customers' organisations.

    In the 1997-04 period my responsibilities were to develop offices, teams, new opportunities and spearhead increased turnover and profits in the Far East including China, India, Australia.

    NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
    o Established strong partnerships with key Original Equipment Manufacturers by building constructive relations with engineering and purchasing departments to top level management. In one year activities doubled with one account and increased by 30% in the other.
    o Sold the first company Fixed Wireless Access Network for Multi-millions dollars contract.
    o Built, managed and motivated a network of Channel Partners during the Remec acquisition thereby promoting an expanded product/service range including new product lines.

    o Consolidated and expanded rapidly Remec’s market presence and shares, deeply involved in the formation by acquisition of Remec China succeeding as approved supplier to the 2 largest OEMs in China.
    o Established Airtech’s presence in Asia setting up sales offices and building effective teams to generate $800k in first year then $6 million in the next.

    1996 - 2004 Responsible as VP for the APAC region for selling, defining the product strategy and implementing the organisation’s vision, mission and overall direction following the acquisition of Airtech Ltd during 1998 by REMEC, USA.

    • Created sales and technical support offices; building sales and support teams in India, China and Malaysia
    • Closed multi millions dollar deals via the establishment of a partner network throughout Asia
    • Successfully closed several WiMAX Base Station deals against established OEM brands
    • Led product adaptation to the Asian market and increased orders by $12M within a 15 month period
    • Performed due diligence as VP Asia of several companies during an acquisition phase
