    2010 - maintenant Leads business development activities in Europe and Asia for BioAmber’s renewable chemicals portfolio in polyurethane, coating resins, polymers, food & flavors, personal care, plasticizers and heat transfer fluids:

    • Initiated and performed market studies, competitive analysis and cost analysis, leading to global market plans.
    • Identified and developed new applications for bio-succinic acid and derivatives.
    • Managed stage gate process for new products development.
    • Defined and implemented most appropriate business development strategies for each market segments (JV, partnership, licensing, direct sales, distribution, etc…).
    • Negotiated and managed strategic alliances with multinational companies (JV, licensing, JDA, NDA, distribution, ...).
    • Managed sales activities, by engaging new customers up to the closing of long-term supply agreements.
    • Provided technical training, manages opportunity pipeline and motivates distributor sales teams.
    • Developed and implemented communication strategy, presented at multiple international conferences.
    • Set up, structured and led all logistics activities from and to BioAmber’s bio-succinic facility.

  • Agro industries Recherche et Développements - Business Development Manager

    2007 - 2010 In charge of business development activities at ARD (private R&D center, specialized in biotechnology and bio-based chemistry, subsidiary of a large consortium of agro-businesses). More specifically, led the BioAmber (50/50 JV, legal entity) project.

    • Conducted market studies, identified and developed new applications for bio-succinic acid.
    • Defined the succinic acid portfolio marketing strategy.
    • Initiated and concluded commercial partnerships.
    • Identified, evaluated and led several new business projects at ARD
    • Negotiated multiple partnerships agreements (JV agreements, supply agreements, licensing agreements, LOI, NDA, etc.) in the field of biotech and bio-chemicals.
    • Led and coordinated Bioamber JV project committee within ARD.
    • Participated to BioAmber S.A.S JV funding round (raised 30 millions €).
    • Defined and updated Bioamber JV 10 years business plan.
    • Analyzed and defined several business plans (market study, financial analysis, ...)
    • Defined and implement ARD's communication strategy.
