  Tyco Healthcare Group AG is the owner of the EMEA TYCO Healthcare inventory and the intermediary between the worldwide manufacturing entities and the EMEA selling entities.
  
  Duties:
  
  • Responsible for a team up to 11 people - Accounts Payables / General Ledger (2001-2003) / Matching Department & Projects (2001-current)
  • Recruitment and training of different roles (AP Manager / GL Accountant / AP clerk / Matching supervisor).
  • Continuous improvement of the financial reporting based on US GAAP / forecast.
  • Implementation of reports to respond to the new divisional structure (2006).
  • Weekly review of FOREX / Purchase Price Variance figures and monthly commentaries for the Reporting / Forecast.
  • Monthly review of several Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations.
  • Weekly review of Log Invoices to be matched and ensure timely follow up of aged items
  • Weekly review of “Goods Received Not Invoiced” account position and ensure timely follow up of aged lines.
  • Internal Processes development (Queries follow up file, Returns to supplier’s way of working, etc…).
  
  Projects:
  
  • Sarbanes-Oxley experience:
  o Assessment of the internal control in place related to the “PM” (Procure Material & Services) and “MR” (Manage Capital, Risk & Treasurery) modules & implementation of the necessary action plans
  o Process Super User of the “MF” (Manufacture Products & Manage Logistics) module, providing guidance to assessors and reviewers for the whole Tyco Healthcare EMEA entities.
  o Reviewer of the “FR” (Financial Reporting) module in other Tyco Healthcare entities
  o Tester of internal controls of the “OM” (Order Management) module in other Tyco Healthcare entities
  
  • Internal Audit experience:
  o Participation in the TYCO program of internal audit of 2 entities not belonging to the Healthcare branch, in the UK (London) and Spain (Madrid) – 5 weeks each.
  o Review of Cash, Fixed Assets, Accruals & Prepaid B/S accounts, SOX compliance.
  
  • 6 Sigma Experience
  o Green Belt certification in August 2006 (certification requires 2 projects completed and savings of minimum 50K USD).
  o 2 weeks Training course in Mansfield (USA) and Elancourt (France).
  o One 6 Sigma project (Auto matching of invoices) launched and successfully implemented (2004) – Savings: 105K USD.
  o One pan European project completed to rationalize & improve the control of marketing expenditures. (2006). Implementation for the commercial divisions in progress.
  
  • Coordination or participation to various Pan-European projects involving Logistics, Planning, Purchasing, and Marketing (e.g. 3rd Party Price controlling, Item Master product creation process, Kit packing…)

  2000 - 2001 Duties:
  
  • Member of the settlement team of the company created in 1999 (5 persons in 1999, 35 as of now)
  • Responsible of a team of 5 persons (Matching & General Ledger Departments)
  • Set-up of the Financial Reporting, Accounts Payables & GL Departments in accordance with the company requirements.
  • Creation of GL & AP download queries under our ERP to meet our reporting requirements (not available at the time of the implementation of the company)
  • Due to the acquisition of the Mallinckrodt Group in 2001, integration of their organization, reporting & ERP’s (JDE & PRMS) – Additionally, training of AP&GL clerks to adapt to the new requirements.

• Auto Suture Europe Services Center, Elancourt, France - Financial Controller Assistant

  1997 - 2000 Auto Suture Europe Services Center was part of the European Headquarters companies from the USSC group before its acquisition by TYCO in October 1998. The company had a new role of European Distribution Centre since June 1997. As this was a brand new company type in the organization, there was no internal guidance for its setup.
  
  
  Duties:
  
  • Implementation of the financial reporting and the controlling tools under ORACLE.
  • Responsible of the financial reporting based on US GAAP & statutory books.
  • As a consequence of the acquisition of USSC by TYCO in October 1998, implementation of changes to comply with TYCO reorganization of duties & processes.

• Auto Suture Europe Holdings, Elancourt, France - General Accountant

  1995 - 1997 Duties:
  • Responsible of the whole accounting (except Accounts Payables) for 2 French companies belonging to the European Headquarters, including statutory books.
  • One-off analysis & projects (i.e. building the whole Fixed Assets Register)

• Cogema Headquarters, Velizy, France - General accountant

  1993 - 1995 Cogema, now called Areva is the worldwide specialist of all activities linked to the whole nuclear cycle.
  
  Duties:
  • Responsible of the accounting for 11 international companies of the group, including French consolidated statutory books.
