  • Intertek Group - Global Business Line Leader - ASTA

    London 2012 - 2014 Overall objectives

    1) To provide direction and guidance to the Intertek group with respect to the development of ASTA Certification services with the aim of generating profitable global growth

    Responsibilities
    1) To provide leadership on ASTA’s global strategy and direction covering at least Marketing, Sales, Operational activities and Financial targets. Input should be sought from all appropriate stakeholders and local market knowledge is always to be respected and valued

    2) To ensure monthly reporting covering key ASTA KPIs. This should be shared with all stakeholders

    3) To provide advice and guidance on market trends and demand drivers collected from regional offices to develop & identify opportunities

    4) To represent Intertek at meetings where requested by global Intertek colleagues

    5) To ensure the agreement, coordination and compilation of global ASTA budgets segmented by country and service line

    6) To regularly review the performance (quality and efficiency) of each regional ASTA Certification centre from an internal and external customer perspective

    7) To provide global leadership for integrating cross functional and inter-office collaboration for ASTA.
  • Intertek Group - Business Development Manager - ASTA in ASIA

    London 2003 - 2012 Business Development
    To develop business within identified TDIP markets in cooperation with the Director of Sales

    Developing the growth of targeted areas by carrying out the following duties:
    a) Liaising with customers and the market to record and feedback continual updates
    b) Develop & identify opportunities & understanding of the customers needs required to succeed in this market
    c) Engage and maintain key customer relationships
    d) Present strategic propositions with a view to securing contractual and non-contractual business
    e) To liaise with ASTA BEAB Engineers and the appointed representatives of global partner to monitor that the service level and quality meet the customer’s requirement.
    f) To liaise with Marketing to run targeted lead generation campaigns
    h) In cooperation with the laboratory Manager to identify and facilitate the assessment of suitable testing laboratories in accordance with ASTA BEAB’s Laboratory Policy.


    Technical Business Support
    To secure every opportunities identified during the business development

    Developing the growth of registered customer by assuring the following duties:
    a) In consultation with the Engineering team carrying out product evaluation
    b) Preparing pre-formatted solutions for ensuring that all opportunities are qualified, proposed and converted
    c) Processing of enquiries by providing technical input for the preparation of quotations during direct meeting or office review
  • Legrand UK - Laboratory Test Engineer

    Limoges 2001 - 2003 Reporting to Laboratory manager and Quality manager.

    Performing all actions pertaining to the smooth and continuous running of the laboratory UKAS 1414N, accredited for most aspects of electrical, environmental and mechanical strength tests. Establishing test program, prioritising and organising the workload whilst producing quality work to meet standard requirements and tight customer’s deadlines.
