The structure includes ferrocene derivatives for optical and electrochemical sensor response. Based on the similar structural principles I will additionally develop Frustrated Lewis Pairs as potential metal- free hydrogenation catalysts.

2011 - 2011I synthesized and studied the magnetic properties of potential single molecule magnets containing hydroxamate ligands. I identified several structures of magnetic metallo-hydroxamic molecules including a new framework for a hexanuclear metal complex (publication pending).

2010 - 2010I developed amine-borane fuels for chemical hydrogen storage supported by second group metals such as calcium and magnesium. I determined the reactivity of these complexes toward dihydrogen loss upon eating.
