    2003 - 2008 • Opening Director of Finance of a new Hotel concept (3 Restaurants, 2 Bars and 2 boutiques).
    • Consolidated the legal, insurance, payroll and accounting for 2 companies and installed a fixed asset Register for both companies.
    • Lead a team of 8 people, developing them in accounting, System Policies and Procedures for Explorer’s Hotels.
    • In charge of the 2 companies (Holdings and Management) reporting to the group (Forecast, budget, Capex, Re-capitalisation, Merger), purchasing (reduce the main contract by 20% in some case), and relationship with lawyers (E&Y law, Slaughter &May), auditors (Deloitte & Touch, E&Y), banks (SG, BNP) and all French administration for tax purpose.
    • Support all hotel departments in systems, strategies and business processes to improve overall profitability
    • Managed the Migration of the PABX from a remote regional location (Manchester, UK) to the hotel.
    • Completed three market studies (10 years P&L and BS, Manning guide and Return of Investment) for new Hotel Projects (France and Spain).
    • Promote in November 2005 as Deputy General Manager in charge of Finance and F&B. Re-launch of the F&B department (60 people) by restructuring the Management organigram and developing a new concept (Free-flow restaurant and A la carte Restaurant). Increase of the Guest satisfaction Index by 7%.
  • Hotel Holiday Inn Valencia - Directeur Financier

    2001 - 2003 • Financial Controller in charge of Opening the first international 200 room hotel in the city
    • Cleaned up, consolidated and balanced all pre-opening and opening accounting activities.
    • Implemented the accounting standards of the company, negotiated all contracts with suppliers (Food Cost from 35% to 28%), having a strict
    • Controlled of staff payroll (below 30% of the TORE) and contracts, in charge of Cash Flow, CAPEX, Forecast (weekly, monthly, yearly), Budget, and reporting to the head office.
    • Hired, trained and developed a team of 6 in all aspects of the finance department’s operation.
    • Reporting to the Owner’s audit company for all aspects of the hotel finances, including dividend & Fixed Assets.
    • Actively participated in the company National Purchasing Task Force, reaching 1M$ savings over 3 years.
  • Hotel Intercontinental Madrid - Assistant Dir Financier

    1999 - 2001 • Assistant Controller managing the day-to-day operation of the hotel with 12 staff under my supervision
    • Completed specific analysis (Feasibility of a new Health club, new Restaurant).
    • In charge of the department during 3 months (January to April 00) after the resignation of the controller.
    • Finalized the Capital Expenditure plan for the full renovation of the Hotel ($35 M).
    • Participated in the strategy of the buy-out’s study of the Personal Local Agreement (1 M $).
    • Managed the Migration of our PMS system from HIS to Fidelio.
    • Also served as Operations Analyst reporting to the Regional Vice President Operation for IHG Spain, Italy, Portugal and Malta, consisting of analyzing and reporting for the 12 Hotels. Also participated to the monthly trading review and budget presentation.
  • Hotel Intercontinental Paris - Comptable polyvalent

    1998 - 1999 • Financial Accountant. Developed and installed software for General Cashier and Income Audit. In November 98, I was promoted to Financial Accountant. In charge of the financial reporting, the bank and the stores (20 units).
    • Implemented and installed above software at the InterContinental Amsterdam and Madrid properties.
