2013 - maintenantWorking on self-reconfiguring cubes that implement the pivoting motion model. Each individual model can pivot to move independently or on a substrate of identical modules, providing the entire system with the ability to change shape. The research will involve hardware extensions of existing systems, development of algorithms for motion planning, and implementation of these algorithms in software and in hardware.
