  • University of Florida - Trainee, Civil and Coastal Engineering Dpt

2009 - 2009 Over a 9 weeks period, I successfully integrated myself into the University Research team to provide them with an operational tool for modeling wave dissipation in muddy Environment in the Atchafalaya Bay, Gulf of Mexico.
    - had field data in 3 points into the sea, a bathymetry, and some documents about sea muddy environment.
-Developed in autonomy a working knowledge of the SWAN software, found the best Inputs for SWAN and analyzed correctly the outputs.
-Contributed to the understanding of wave dissipation in muddy environment, essential for the prediction and effects from Hurricane Katrina.
  • METEO FRANCE - Trainee

Saint Mandé 2007 - 2008 During this 6- week training period, I worked on a formula in order to predict a river flood (The Brenne).
    - Had a climatology database (manipulated with Microsoft Access),
    - Discovered a formula which can foresee the rate of flow, and consequently, the Brenne flood (with a negligible error), 12 hours before flooding.
-Allows local companies to have enough time to protect themselves against the flooding.
