2010 - maintenant
I am part of the 1D Aerospace and Defense team at LMS in charge of the development and deployment of LMS IMAGINE. Lab AMESim software. My tasks are: specify, model and validate aircraft ATA 24 Systems (from Electrical Power Generation elements to Distribution and Consumption) within the AMESim software.
Mathematical models for Aircraft Systems design, why?
Well, a pretty short and clear answer would be (among others): to save money!
The models I build in the AMESim software, help our customers to validate or modify requirements and to take decisions at the early stage of the design process. That's the magic trick of Computer Aided Engineering! You can, by using validated physical models, take assesments on the systems design and cut your design time and costs. After all, it is less costly to modify a mathematical model than to re-build another real prototype (all that, because of design errors not detected early). So my job is to provide our customers tools and models to avoid such mistakes for Aircraft Electrical Systems design. And the icing on the cake is that, the models once integrated with other Systems, can be used for the whole lifecycle of the product to help for troubleshooting for instance in case of failures or breakdown.
To achieve my tasks, on top of my Mechatronics Engineering master degree, I am also skilled in programming field: C, Python, Scipy, Numpy, Qt.
