Entreprises

  • NovAliX - Business Unit Director - Chemistry

    ILLKIRCH 2016 - maintenant
  • NovAliX - Head of Synthetic Chemistry

ILLKIRCH 2009 - 2015 I oversee all the projects and the collaborations in discovery chemistry for our clients from the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, cosmetic and fine chemistry industries. I lead and supervise 4 R&D teams located in France and Spain. I elaborate commercial proposals and I negotiate contracts with clients.

I work closely with the business development Director to ensure the competitiveness of the company in discovery chemistry. I initiate and develop innovative projects and new business offers.

In addition to my main responsibilities, I am also in charge of the professional development of the research associates in chemistry. To achieve this, I have introduced a career path, defined KPIs, and implemented evaluation processes.
  • NovAliX - Project Manager

ILLKIRCH 2006 - 2009 I managed multiple projects of discovery chemistry and took part in medicinal chemistry collaborations, including the direct reporting to clients’ R&D managers. My job consisted of designing, developing and optimizing synthetic routes to access new chemical entities or to develop new chemical processes. I supervised teams of bench chemists (MSc & BSc levels).

In addition to my main responsibilities, I was in charge of insuring the operational functioning of the labs and the supervision of the laboratory assistant.
  • Hanessian Group, Université de Montréal, QC - Post-doctoral fellow

2004 - 2005 I have conducted two major projects during my post-doctoral studies. One consisted in the design and synthesis of selective, dual ECE / ACE inhibitors. That project was conducted in collaboration with the Institut de Recherche Servier (France). The second involved the application of new methodologies towards the expeditive stereoselective synthesis of quinine.

Formations

  • Université De Strasbourg

    Strasbourg 2000 - 2003 PhD, organic chemistry

The subject of my doctoral dissertation was “Stereoselective synthesis of glycosylated hydroxylysine mimetics and their incorporation into collagen derived peptides. New probes to study the fine specificity of autoreactive T-cells in collagen induced arthritis.”
  • Ecole Nationale Supérieure De Chimie De Mulhouse

    Mulhouse 1996 - 2000 Ingénieur ENSCMu

    Chimie organique
