En résumé

With over 10 years of experience in the energy industry, I have strong engineering and managerial capabilities and can develop strong working relationships in a multicultural environment. As a permanent resident in Australia for the long term, I am seeking a position in an engineering organisation that offers an innovative environment, a great working culture, and career development.

  • General Electric - Tender Engineering Manager

    Paris 2012 - 2016 In November 2015, General Electric acquired Alstom’s Energy businesses. Alstom Power Systems was a world leader in the design, integration, construction, and commissioning of large power plant units.
    During the overall tender process, I was responsible for the technical coordination of all subjects related to the bid submission for EPC contracts of large power plant projects. This includes technical scope development, cost estimation, risk management, and issue resolution.
    • Define the conceptual technical features (i.e. main process, equipment arrangement, cycle optimisation) by analysing customer’s needs and researching input data;
    • Help to build strategy offers around the industrial program in terms of the capabilities of the local supply chain, joint-venture or local partners to fulfil the technology transfer agreements;
    • Lead the preparation of the technical part of the tender by identifying, controlling, and assisting the technical workforce on the production of technical deliverables;
    • Clarify the technical interfaces with the customer, the architect engineer and the civil contractor;
    • Evaluate and consolidate the cost of services by requesting and assessing proposals and quotations from suppliers, sub-contractors and relevant stakeholders;
    • Perform and present risk and opportunity evaluations to the core team for discussion and approval;
    • Ensure that technical proposals meet customer requirements, and are compliant with internal company policy and local legislation;
    • Defend and support the offers with the sales department by providing technical expertise in front of end-users and relevant stakeholders;
    • Handover of the EPC Agreement to the Project Execution Team;
    • Strong tendering activity in Russia, Finland, Hungary, and Turkey from bid analysis to final negotiations until contract signature.
  • Alstom Power - Senior Mechanical Designer

    Levallois-Perret Cedex 2009 - 2012 Alstom Nuclear Pump Bergeron specialises in engineering, manufacturing, and installation of large cooling water pumps for all types of power and industrial plants.
    As a senior draftsperson, my focus was to develop and draft innovative solutions to ensure product reliability, manufacturability, and commercial sustainability.
    • Design and check products taking into account project requirements (performances, water structure integration, industrial scheme);
    • Produce and review technical specifications, assembly and fabrication drawings, datasheets, bill of materials and design calculations to effectively support sales and procurement activities;
    • Resolve complex non-conformity requests on time and within budget by liaising with all internal departments, external customers, suppliers, and contractors;
    • Create, review and update the internal technical standards and methodologies to support the development of the engineering workforce;
    • Lead the development of new business tools which automatically build the 3D mock-up of warehouse products;
    • Strong project engineering activity in Europe, Middle East, China, and India.
  • Alstom Power - Design Office Coordinator

    Levallois-Perret Cedex 2008 - 2009 Based in China, this local office supports the on-shore portion of the design and procurement for Taishan 1 &2, which is China’s first EPR nuclear power plant. This engineering office specialises in the design of the main equipment for power plants, such as turbines, generators, and heat exchangers.
    As a Design Manager, I was in charge of allocating and tracking work packages to deliver complex multidisciplinary outcomes in line with milestones and commitments.
    • Lead, guide, oversee and verify that all aspects of engineering activities are delivered on-time and within budget;
    • Report, define and plan day to day activities in collaboration with French based design teams;

    From concept design to construction documentation, I was responsible for drafting complex equipment for the steam turbine.
    • Create 3D mock-ups of mechanical and piping systems taking into account several types of manufacturing processes such as casting, forming, joining, and machining by using CAD Software such as Catia V5;
    • Prepare sketches, figures, conceptual and detailed drawings for manufacturing and installation of large mechanical equipment in collaboration with a dynamic product development team;
    • Participate in analysis and respond to technical clarification requests regarding the technology transfer program with our local partners;
