Generally people mix cybernetic with cyborg, which concerns only robots, but cybernetic is also and above all the study of systems also called systems theory.
It is considered as system: a society, an economy, a computer network, a machine, a cell, an organism, a brain, an individual, an ecosystem. This set of systems interacts between themselves throughout exchanges of information and feedback which are the central notions for cybernetic. From its perspective communications rely on the transmission message and the study of the feedback. A message is also a sequence, which can be measured and the informative feedback is the process of learning which leads consequently to a self-regulation state.
This systemic theory is an attempt to correct an erroneous way of looking at the world in general and avoid the linear style analyses. It is an attempt to see things in their interactional dynamic that everything depends on everything else. Cybernetic is an approach to describe processes taking place in complex systems not to divide or to separate things into things, and isolate problems.
