Patrick Labatut obtained a degree as engineer in Aeronautics in 1984.
After he joined Matra Defence as flights test Engineer on Defence products.
In 1994, he joined Giat Industries as Trials project manager and moved to a position of Project Director on export retrofit contract and finally to a position of heading the Technology transfer and Counter-trade Department in which he was mainly in charge of networking and lobbying in Europe and Middle East..
In 2005, Patrick Joined Alstom Transport as Senior Bid Manager and moved in 2006 to a position of Tenders Director for Signalling on Mainlines and High speed lines and is now (staring Mai 2010)Business development Director for Northern Europe
Main responsibilities
- Accountable for railway tenders strategy, roadmap, reporting, KPI and process follow-up
- Creation and development of the activity for this Segment Market (FY 09/10: Order intake 450 M€ (above budget)
- Management of an international multi-sites tender team : Paris, Bologna (Italy), Madrid, Charleroi (Belgium)
- Business development, pre-tendering and networking mainly in East, North, South Europe and Maghreb
- Development of Alstom’s internal relationship network
- Bid Management on international tenders (worldwide) for signalling activities
Main achievements:
- Negotiation of tenders and contract signatures
- Creation and development of a high-ranking relationship network and negotiation with local authorities, industrial groups and embassies for Railway and Defence activities
- Technology transfer and Counter-trade activities in Defence scope (global scheme according to guidelines, multi-projects follow-up, penalties negotiation, …)
- Project Director for retrofit project abroad (200 M€, 90 p., U.A.E, 1995)
