Director of operations for AQABA Petroleum Company for Distribution. Amman, Jordan.
As responsible for the development of a new marketing sister company in the context of the liberalization of the fuel distribution national market (end of monopoly), my tasks cover :
- The development of the distribution network (site selection, financial and marketing feasibility studies, investments and construction, local authorizations process, signing new distributors…)
- The recruitment and training of local staff.
- The negotiation of supply contracts and the set up of the logistics operations (from depot to stations).

I was in charge of the supervision of the existing commercial and manufacturing operations in 60 countries. New projects development.

Local management support (including restructuring business).
Main projects :
* China business development plan:
New factory project (business plan, feasibility study, technical design basis memorandum review, project costing…), distribution network expansion, search for local partnership and supply optimization.
* Brazil business unit restructuring through temporary management:
Complete technical reorganization (process, formulations, supply), implementation of cost cutting plan (including dismissals and sale of assets), new marketing policy.
* Saudi Arabia development of a chain of quick lube centers :
Feasibility study, business plan and supervision of implementation. Outlets were opened in Jeddah making Gulf Express the biggest chain of quick lube centers in KSA.
* New joint-ventures development in Indonesia and Bangladesh:
Feasibility studies, business plan, preliminary works, company establishment follow-up.
* Distributors’ network expansion in South America, Eastern Europe:
Local prospection, negotiation and implementation of distribution contracts. New distributors were appointed in Turkey, Israel, Romania, Colombia.
